THE 5 DAYS PROCESS TO MAKE CHIC PIG
DAY 1 - THE SKETCH
Chiara creates and sketches the carachters.
She makes them funny and original, they need to make you smile!
Chic Pig carachteristic funny design comes from Chiara's pure immagination and creativity!
DAY2 - THE WAX
It all starts from a wax cilinder.
It is cut and shaped into the specific animal. The art of modelling the wax is very much similar to sculpting in a very small scale.
We are so proud to have such a great team of makers who are able to make beautiful wax animals!
DAY3 - THE METAL FUSION
A plaster mould is made to contain the wax little animal sculpture.
The plaster cilinder is put into the oven for 12 hours at high temperatures. The wax melt and leaves an empty space.
In that empty space is pured the liquid metal that becomes hard after many hours of waiting!
DAY4 - THE POLISHING
The metal ring that is extracted from the plaster is usually very unfinished and dirty.
It requires a lot of manual and machine polishing
They put the stones in the eyes and get the ring ready for the enamelling
DAY5 - THE ENAMEL
The enamel technique is a very ancient tecnique (was first used in Egypt times) that consist in a liquid varnish given to the metal objects.
The people in Valenza knows this tecnique very well and they are very accurate and passionate about it.
Once the varnish is given, the object needs to go again into an oven and rest for many hours, in order to make the varnish hard and durable.
HIGH QUALITY FOR A LONG LASTING LOVE!
It takes 5 days to make one ring but we are proud of taking this time with passion and committment.
The final product is something of an extremely good quality and durability.
Your ring will last as long as you will love him/her!
